I have decided to step down as Coach of BURFC. It was not an easy decision, but having weighed up all my options I feel that it is best firstly for my family and secondly the team. I honestly feel that I gave it my best over the past four years, certainly I taught a group of young men to love the sport. But most importantly we all learnt alot from each other through the good and bad times. The new coach will bring new life to a promising squad, the team leadership has never been better and I am very confident that going forward this team will start to win matches consistantly. Remember the only people that can win those matches are yourselves, a coach can merely aid you in preparing for the games. Work hard at school and most of all enjoy your rugby.
The sport has been fantastic for me and I know that I would not be half the man or had half the opportunities in life if I had never picked up a ball and started playing. Never forget that "each game is a gift!"
Best of luck to all all the seniors, dont stop playing now that you are out of college. I have always been proud of you all.
Coach Taylor.
