The www.burugby.com website was recently hacked and malicious scripts were inserted into the website database. These scripts would have tried to redirect you to another site or pretend to run security software.
If you have visited www.burugby.com since Sept 1, 2011 you should scan your computer for viruses, malware and adware. Please make sure you are running the latest virus software updates. If you don't have virus software check out Microsoft's Security Essentials software which is free for any computer running Windows XP, Vista or 7. Or visit http://www.stopbadware.org/home/badware_prevent to learn how to clean up your computer and prevent future hacks.
We are shutting down the website
and moving to new platforms to prevent future hacks.
Unfortunately this is the second time the site has been hacked in the past
year, we can no longer keep up with the loopholes these malicious hackers find. The club
will be re-launching a site using free blog web service. I will be working on
setting up BURFC alumni google list, Facebook page, and alumni blog to keep the alumni
network in touch with each other and the club. We will point
www.burugby.com to one of the new websites
being launched.
